While digging the holes, the equipment can work from the surface thus there is no need to dig deep excavations. Also, no intermediate pits are needed because long, short or medium lengths of the pipes can be used without disrupting the surface.

Most places were not accessible using the traditional methods thus the directional methods have proved to be advantageous especially in the installation of water and electricity. This has lead to the availability of water in remote and interior places within a short period.
